The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Saudi German Hospital Dammam succeeded in delivering a preterm fetus, who arrived 3 months before the estimated date of delivery.

The baby was observed in the hospital for 80 days by the medical staff under the supervision of the head of NICU, Dr. Zakaria Al-Salam. Breastfeeding visits for the mother was also arranged.

It is noted that with a high rate of complications in preterm babies the hospital managed to prevent all of them and the baby was sent home in good health weighing around 1.7kgs.
