Topic

Happens when organs don't get enough blood.

If someone nearby is going into shock, call 911 or the local emergency number and have that person lie down with feet and legs elevated slightly, if possible.

See a healthcare professional immediately if:

  • Rapid breathing, fast pulse and enlarged pupils.
  • Cold, clammy skin or pale skin.
  • Nausea or vomiting.
  • Weakness, dizziness or fainting.
  • Sudden change in personality.
